Lux Interior - Rock In Peace

"Life is short, filled of stuff - don't know what for, I ain't had enough"
The Cramps 'New Kind Of Kick'

Marco and The Wolfmen are saddened to hear about the death of Cramps frontman - Lux Interior.

Lux, 62, died today from an existing heart condition . The world will be a darker place without his rocking horrorshow of psychobilly Iggy, vamping like a champ to a B Movie beat of the Burlesque. Another legend lost.

And if you haven't seen it yet, you really should catch 'The Cramps Live at Napa State Mental Hospital' - it's like One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest goes Garage a Go-Go.

  1. Oh no! Such sad news…

I haven’t heard that track for years -
It throws me right back to very happy memories indeed.

Amazing bit of old film by the way!
    (many thanks for posting)

  2. A real shame - he was like Iggy meets Elvis, and Off The Bone was a must have in the early 80's - I had so many dancefloor flaps to The Crusher..

  7. Geez, not been a good year already for music heroes has it??

I met Lux and Ivy in 1986 whilst wandering around Kensington Market. Believe it or not, some 60 mins earlier I had just bought the new Cramps album 'A Date With Elvis'... What were the chances of that??! I went up to them not knowing what to expect, but they were both SO friendly and chatty. We spoke for some 10-15 mins and the hapily signed my album as a lasting reminder.

A great frontman and a great guy. RIP Lux.

  8. It is definitely a shame that he's now gone. I still can't believe he's passed away. He will be sorely missed by so many of us. R.I.P.
